THE CHALLENGE: FROM A GROUP OF TALENTED EXPERTS AND YOUNG TALENT TO A TEAM OF TALENT

Following a major change in strategy and subsequent reorganisation, the company needs to increase the potential and key quality of one of its core business structures.
It therefore provides for the selection of a group of young people with no or little experience but excellent potential, to be included in the Sales Department.

The challenge is: for young people to learn or refine their knowledge of the profession and also to train themselves in being autonomous and impactful in line with business policies; for experts to share know-how and experience and also integrate new and functional points of view, skills and approaches into the new context; for the company, it is being able to count on a more powerful team in defining and making best use of the resource.

THE ACTION: A PATH AND NOT A COURSE. FOCUS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF EACH INDIVIDUAL AND THE TEAM

In partnership with the client, a path is established that involves 30 young people and 15 experts for a period of 3 months.

The path includes:

  • 1 workshop to activate and prepare seniors
  • 1 workshop to activate young people
  • 1 moment of sharing the “pact” between tutors and young people
  • planned 2-way assessment of the action plan during the on-the-job training path
  • 2 balance / relaunch workshops (1 for experts and 1 for young people)

In the first 2 workshops: first the seniors and then the young people are stimulated and encouraged to trigger a qualitative leap that leads them to detect and experience the activity of trainer and tutor (for seniors), and that of learning and contribution (for young people), as an opportunity for both personal and organisational development, which will enrich their wealth of experience and skills and allow them and the company to have a team of more autonomous, integrated, efficient and effective colleagues at their disposal .
In the end, everyone comes out with a personal commitment, new tools for learning and development, an action plan and one or more colleagues to support them.

At the kick-off: tutors and young people (in 3 groups) are supported to mutually explain each other’s expectations, goals, work pact and agreed commitment.
Immediately after the kick-off, the coaching / learning / training plans will be operational and will include 3 structured steps of assessment at group level (where necessary, the assessment is carried out by us or by the HR representative)

In the remaining 2 workshops: both tutors and young people are supported::

  • to take stock of the experience, also through structured feedback sessions
  • to give oneself new goals both individually and as a team
  • to define a new work plan

In the end, each individual comes out with a new personal commitment, new tools, a new action plan and one or more supporting colleagues.
Where necessary, after the second workshop, the relaunch was further strengthened through individual interviews with us or with the HR representative

THE RESULT: 30 YOUNG PEOPLE BETTER PREPARED FOR THE JOB AND A MORE INTEGRATED, EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT TEAM

The initiative made it possible to achieve these results:

AT A PERSONAL LEVEL:

  • Each individual more cooperative and responsible for their impact on the company, more active and protagonist for their own and their team’s evolution
  • About 70% of the participants made a qualitative leap in the role and / or role

AT THE LEVEL OF ORGANISATIONAL IMPACT:

  • A team of more competent, cooperative and agile professionals
  • 30 young people ready to take on positions of greater responsibility
  • Positive impact in terms of team performance
